Kattatra Menporul: Book Launch

The convention on Freedom and Software, hosted by the Free Software Foundation, Tamil Nadu (as they claim to be) celebrated 25th anniversary of the GNU on Sunday, 21st September. The principal objective of the event is to launch of the project on the Tamil version of the GNU/Linux operating system, as it would be named later. Did we really need yet another Linux distribution? Why not working with existing localisation team at #Ubuntu, #Fedora so and so’s; this may expand members to enhance productivity.

Moving on, Ramadoss. M launched his book titled “Kattatra Menporul” on the same event. He’s been a friendly member of LUG-Chennai. This book is a translated essays of Richard M. Stallman in Tamil, which it has be published as a Copyleft license. It’s an ambitious work and a commendable attempt to translate to the screen.

a slow pace

Been some time since my last post - I didn’t have anything to write about, so I didn’t. It’s 2008. Over the past year, there are good and bad times. I’m too excited that it’s to settle myself back down, and getting up is considerably from last years pace. Wish that 2008 is a good year for everyone! Happy New Year
